Glimpse of a Garden

Glimpse of a Garden explores the landscape through colour, atmosphere, and the materiality of oil paint. Rather than reproducing a specific place, the work begins with the memory of a landscape and reconstructs it through fragmented brushstrokes and successive layers of colour.

Dense applications of oil paint create depth and movement while allowing recognizable elements of the garden to emerge and dissolve within the composition. The balance between intention and spontaneity shifts the landscape between representation and abstraction.

The work marks an early stage in my investigation of how nature can be perceived and reconstructed through memory, matter, and gesture.
