In Between Leaves and Mist, the landscape is constructed through layers. Earthy tones, deep greens, and small traces of colour form dense vegetation without a defined horizon, where some forms emerge while others remain partially concealed.
The generous application of oil paint reinforces this sense of depth and fragmentation. The eye does not immediately find a resting point; it moves across the surface, gradually recognizing what the painting reveals.
The work investigates perception in nature when not everything can be apprehended at once. What emerges and what remains hidden become equally important within the landscape.
