Florecer en Oporto

Blooming in Porto was created as a commissioned work and developed from the visual language first explored in The Blooming Series.

In this large-scale composition, fragmented brushstrokes and generous layers of oil paint create a dense field of vegetation, colour, and movement. Greens structure the landscape while lighter tones and touches of pink emerge throughout the surface, creating variations of depth and light.

Rather than reproducing one of the earlier works, the painting extends the pictorial vocabulary developed through the series into a new composition. Its scale allows the landscape to become more immersive, reinforcing the relationship between gesture, materiality, and nature that had begun to define my work.
