Submerged Memories investigates the relationship between memory, water, and perception.
The movement of water softens forms and alters what can be clearly seen. Through layers of oil paint, traces of light and colour emerge while other elements dissolve into the composition, shifting the landscape between recognition and abstraction.
This visual instability becomes a way of considering how memory changes over time. Some elements remain legible while others survive only as fragments, impressions, or traces.
